I haven't found a method for listing teamid, but '21' seems to be the New York Mets. I thought perhaps specifying a date would narrow things down a bit, but no luck. See below for the result:
The full firehose of team stories is actually a lot of content. We have some plans to provide disable options to filter out specific types of content which would probably meet your specific requirements.
Hi Folks,
I'm experimenting with the team news API, specifically with the URL:
/v1/sports/baseball/mlb/teams/21/news/dates/20120422I haven't found a method for listing teamid, but '21' seems to be the New York Mets. I thought perhaps specifying a date would narrow things down a bit, but no luck. See below for the result:

There's a ton of data, much of it apparently unrelated to the Mets. Is this intentional? Am I missing something obvious?
Thanks, Mike

Reviewing this further, it seems like the headlines/data are indeed related in some way. It's just way more data than I was expecting.
As you were!

Hi Mike,
The full firehose of team stories is actually a lot of content. We have some plans to provide disable options to filter out specific types of content which would probably meet your specific requirements.
Once we have more details we'll announce it on the Developer Blog - http://developer.espn.com/blog
Thanks for the post.

Mike,
We rolled out a fix this week to address this issue when requesting news by athlete, team, etc.
The quality/relevance of the stories returned should be significantly improved now.
