Will stats ever be available?

  1. The introduction of an ESPN API is great, but as it is now with only headlines being of use, there isn't really a whole lot that can be done with the API that couldn't be done before with an RSS feed.

Is there any chance or likelihood that player/athlete stats will become available - even if it is at a cost?

    Hi there,

This is definitely something we're looking into. We can't share any dates or commitments but we know it's important.

If and when an offering like this is available we will announce it here first.

    Best, Chris

How can we become a Premium Partner? I emailed apipartneropps@espn.com but I got an automated email saying that individual emails are not attended due to high volume?

I am keen to access the scores and schedules too.

    rjwillers,

Apologies for the disappointing experience with your inquiry. "Premium Partners" are really strategic ESPN partner companies, and those are reviewed case-by-case by our Business Development team. We get a large number of inquiries so there's no guarantee that every inquiry will receive a response (or at least a timely response).

We're looking at ways to make a set of data available in a more turnkey fashion for independent app developers, startups, etc. We don't have anything to announce but we are keenly aware of the interest.

    -Chris
